PAINT & BODY REPAIR
Collision Repair Equipment: Frame Benches, Measuring, Welding and Curing
Build a body-shop equipment list around vehicle anchoring, measuring, material-specific joining, extraction and localized paint curing.

Select a frame bench by vehicle support and the repair task
Check the vehicle service weight, dimensions, structural anchoring points and required pulling operations. Compare platform size and load rating, loading arrangement, clamps, tower positions, pulling attachments and access for measurement. A maximum pulling-force rating describes a different limit from the weight the platform supports.
The BH5621 configuration lists a 5,600 × 2,100 mm platform, 520 mm platform height and 3,500 kg maximum vehicle load. Its maximum listed pulling force is 100 kN. The brochure describes a main and auxiliary tower and four anchoring clamps. These facts do not approve every vehicle or pulling procedure; match the anchoring and attachments to the repair instructions.
Allow space for loading and tower travel
Plot the platform, loading ramps, vehicle approach, tower working positions, hydraulic hoses and technician movement. The platform dimensions do not represent the entire operating area. Confirm the floor and support requirements, utilities and maintenance access before approving the layout.
For the BH5621, the brochure lists 0.8 MPa required air pressure and a separate 70 MPa maximum hydraulic-system working pressure. These are different circuits. Request the supplied connection and operating documents rather than treating either figure as a setting for the other system.
Does a frame bench need an electronic measuring system?
Vehicle measurement is needed to compare the structure with the intended reference dimensions and assess the repair. An electronic measuring package can support that process, but it is not automatically supplied with a frame bench and is not selected by platform load rating. Choose the measuring method required by the vehicle repair procedure and the workshop workflow.
The BH-200 electronic system provides reference-point guidance, measured-versus-reference deviations and saved or printed before-and-after records through the configured software. It is described for compatible two-post, frame-bench and scissor work areas. Confirm physical probe access, calibration, vehicle reference data, software version and the included computer/printer package. BH5621 documentation does not establish that a measuring system is included.
Which welder should be considered for aluminium body repair?
BAOHUA lists FYMIG200L as an IGBT double-pulse MIG welder for aluminium vehicle-body repair and compatible fabrication tasks. Send the actual alloy and thickness, joint, approved repair process, wire, shielding gas and intended torch when requesting the configuration. The product category alone does not establish suitability for every aluminium vehicle structure.
Confirm power and the supplied torch, wire-feed components and consumables. The brochure lists optional welding guns separately, so do not assume a pictured spool gun is standard. Match process settings and qualification to the vehicle repair instructions; no universal aluminium-body approval is claimed here.
Resistance spot welding versus MIG/MAG work
A resistance spot-welding system uses electrodes to form localized welds at the joint; access and the selected gun matter. A MIG/MAG system feeds consumable wire with the specified shielding gas for the selected joining process. Select the process from the vehicle material, joint and repair method rather than treating the two machines as substitutes for every job.
FYSPOT-100WT provides documented single- and double-sided functions with a water-cooled arrangement; confirm the gun, electrode and repair suitability. FYMIG230XL is the pulsed MIG/MAG option with material and wire selections. Its wire ranges do not approve all vehicle alloys or repair joints. Ask for a demonstration or process review matching the intended work.
Plan sanding dust and welding fume extraction separately
Identify the contaminant and tool at each workstation. Match sanding extraction to the sanding tools and dust process; match welding fume capture to the welding operation, source position and supplied filtration arrangement. A general shop vacuum should not be assumed to be a complete welding-fume system.
Put extraction equipment, hoses and maintenance access on the repair-area layout. Confirm filter stages, consumables, airflow requirements and the applications approved by the equipment instructions. Final workplace ventilation and exposure controls require a site-specific assessment; equipment wattage alone does not establish adequate capture.
Add infrared curing for the specified coating process
FY-3W is a three-head shortwave infrared curing lamp with 3,300 W total rated power, independently selectable heads and a listed 1,200 × 1,000 mm curing area. It is a localized curing tool; that area is not a complete vehicle spray-booth working space.
Check the panel or repair area, coating procedure, working distance, lamp positioning and available supply. Follow the coating and equipment instructions for settings and curing time. The stated temperature range does not establish automatic closed-loop temperature control, and the lamp does not replace the ventilation needed for other work in the bay.
Prepare a repair-process equipment schedule
Send the vehicle and material mix, repair jobs, anchoring and measuring requirements, welding processes, coating system and workshop plan. Quote the bench, measuring package, welding machines, extraction, curing equipment and consumables separately with itemized standard and optional accessories.
For each machine, request the installation requirements, operating instructions, configuration and support terms. The cover presents the BH5621 configuration in an illustrative workshop setting; it is not a customer repair record or evidence of a particular vehicle repair approval.
Frequently asked questions
Is pulling force the same as frame-bench vehicle capacity?
No. The BH5621 brochure separately lists 100 kN maximum pulling force and a 3,500 kg maximum vehicle load. Check every component and the repair procedure against its own limit.
Is electronic measuring included with the frame bench?
Do not assume it. The BH5621 configuration does not establish an included measuring package. Quote the selected measuring method, accessories and vehicle reference data separately.
Can one welder perform every body repair?
The required process depends on material, joint, access and vehicle repair instructions. Compare the exact resistance spot and MIG/MAG configurations and confirm the appropriate procedure.
This guide supports early equipment planning. Final dimensions, specifications, installation instructions, supply scope, and applicable documents must be confirmed for the exact model and site before ordering.
