Start with the jobs performed at each bay

A tool cabinet is useful only when its contents match the work planned for the station. List the opening-day services first: general mechanical repair, tire service, inspection, or body repair. For each service, name the recurring tasks, the tools needed to finish them, and the person or bay that will use them. This is a more reliable purchase list than choosing a cabinet by piece count alone.

Separate shared shop tools from tools that must stay at a particular bay. Include a place for removed fasteners and parts, safe movement around vehicles, and a way to return each tool after a job. The photographed BAOHUA showroom illustrates equipment and tool categories; it is not a customer installation or proof that every displayed item is included in a quoted package.

Compare cabinet sets by the actual contents

BAOHUA currently lists a 7-drawer cabinet with a 258-piece tool set and a separate 7-drawer cabinet with a 386-piece tool set. These are distinct product listings. The count is a starting point for comparing the sets, not a measure of suitability or a promise that a particular specialty tool is included. Ask for the itemized tool and accessory list for the exact version offered.

Check the size ranges and types of sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and other tools against the vehicle mix and repair procedures. Confirm how the drawers and inserts are organized, which tools are standard, and whether replacements can be identified individually. Do not infer steel grade, load capacity, drawer dimensions or warranty from a photograph or the total piece count.

Add tools to the major equipment quotation

A new repair bay may need a lift, tire changer or other service machine, but buying the machine does not automatically provide the hand tools required by the operator. For example, a general repair station can be planned around a specific lift while its hand-tool list follows the services performed on the raised vehicle. A tire-service station should be checked against the wheel and tire work, its tire changer accessories, and a separate tool list.

Request separate line items for each machine, standard accessories, optional accessories, tool cabinet, hand-tool set and any items excluded from the offer. This makes it possible to compare complete working stations rather than misleading machine-only totals.

Check space, utilities and daily handling

Put the cabinet and its open-drawer clearance on the same scaled plan as the vehicle, lift arms, machine operating area, walkways and doors. Allow access for loading and moving heavy wheels or parts. A cabinet that fits a wall on paper may still obstruct an operator or a vehicle door during use.

Confirm the exact machine versions against site voltage, phase, frequency and compressed-air supply. Hand tools, powered tools and service machines have different utility needs. Do not start electrical or air-line work from a generic equipment photograph; use the relevant model documents and the installer’s site assessment.

Request an auditable packing and replacement list

Before ordering, ask for the cabinet model, a counted item list for each drawer or tool set, machine model and options, package count, packing dimensions and gross weight. Check whether small accessories and replacement tools will be packed with the corresponding equipment or as separate labeled items. The agreed order list should make receiving and later replenishment practical.

BAOHUA can help new automotive repair workshops source equipment and tools as a coordinated package. We can coordinate consolidated shipment for an agreed order after configurations, packing and readiness are confirmed. Shipment arrangements, quantities and delivery terms must be confirmed for the actual order.

What to send with your workshop inquiry

Share your planned services and vehicle types, the number of bays and technicians, a scaled floor plan, electrical and compressed-air details, preferred equipment models, tool categories, quantities and destination. Ask for an itemized quotation showing standard and optional items, drawings and any missing information. If opening in stages, identify which stations must be operational first.

A complete order list can then be checked for the work each bay must perform. The goal is to avoid paying for duplicate tools while also avoiding an incomplete station that cannot perform its intended job.

Empty cabinet or cabinet supplied with tools?

An empty cabinet is a storage purchase: its price does not include the hand-tool set. It can suit a workshop that already owns suitable tools, provided drawer dimensions and inserts match those tools. A cabinet supplied with tools combines storage with a specified inventory; compare that inventory against the jobs before paying for a larger piece count.

For either option, compare the cabinet dimensions, drawer and overall load ratings, locking and caster arrangements, drawer access and replacement inserts using the exact quotation. For an equipped set, also reconcile each tool type and size, duplicates and specialty tools. Confirm whether an empty version is available; the listed 258-piece and 386-piece packages do not by themselves establish an empty-cabinet offer.

Can the tools and drawer layout be customized by trade?

BAOHUA currently offers the existing 258-piece and 386-piece cabinet configurations. The tool combination and drawer layout are not offered as a trade-specific customization service. Choose between the supplied configurations using their itemized tool lists and drawer arrangements.

Identify any extra specialty tools as a separate purchasing requirement. Do not interpret a larger piece count, a showroom display or a general coordinated equipment order as a promise that the tools or drawer inserts can be rearranged to a custom design.

Frequently asked questions

Is a larger tool-piece count always better?

No. Compare the itemized tools and sizes with the repairs, vehicles and technicians at the planned bays. Confirm the contents of the exact set offered.

Are the tools in a cabinet automatically included with a lift or tire changer?

No. Ask for separate quotation lines for each machine, its standard and optional accessories, cabinet and hand-tool set.

How many tool cabinets does a new workshop need?

That depends on the number of bays, technicians, shared-tool policy, service mix and available space. Plan the workstations before setting a cabinet quantity.

What should I check before approving a combined shipment?

Confirm the final item and accessory lists, quantities, package count, dimensions, gross weight, readiness, loading arrangement, destination and delivery terms for the agreed order.

Can a showroom photograph confirm that a tool or machine is in stock?

No. It shows the display. Availability and the exact supplied configuration must be confirmed for the order.

Should I buy an empty tool cabinet or a cabinet with tools?

Choose from your existing inventory and planned jobs. An empty cabinet needs a separate tool budget and a fit check; an equipped cabinet needs an itemized contents check to avoid missing tools or unnecessary duplicates. Confirm the exact cabinet and supplied inventory in the quotation.

Can I customize the tools and drawer layout for my trade?

The current offer is limited to the existing 258-piece or 386-piece cabinet configurations. Trade-specific tool combinations and custom drawer layouts are not offered.
