Diesel spray booth heating system: a buyer’s quotation checklist
Compare diesel spray booth heating packages by burner model, test conditions, airflow, utilities and quotation scope before ordering.

Start with the complete heating package
A diesel spray booth quotation should identify more than the burner brand. The burner, heat exchanger, air system, controls and site utilities need to be described together so that the buyer can compare the actual package being offered. A familiar burner name alone does not establish booth performance or the scope of supply.
This checklist helps overseas body-shop buyers turn a broad request for a diesel burner spray booth into a clear equipment inquiry. Use it to identify the documents and configuration details still needed before ordering.
Identify the burner and the intended fuel
Ask for the full burner manufacturer, model and configuration in the quotation. Request the associated documentation and confirmation of the fuel specification, electrical connection and service access required for that exact unit. Avoid treating a photograph of a burner or a brand logo as a complete technical specification.
For a confirmed product starting point, the BAOHUA 700S European-style diesel-heated car spray booth lists a Riello 40 diesel burner. The separate BAOHUA Diesel-Heated Automotive Spray Booth listing identifies a Baltur diesel heating system. These are different product configurations: do not transfer burner details from one listing to the other. Ask BAOHUA to identify the exact burner model and included equipment in the selected quotation.
Compare heating claims under stated conditions
When a supplier gives a heat-up time, ask what was measured. Record the starting temperature, target temperature, ambient conditions, booth load, airflow setting and operating mode. Ask where the temperature was measured and whether the result describes the air or the workpiece. A short claim without those conditions is difficult to compare with another offer.
Provide the coating process and target production cycle in your inquiry. Have the supplier explain how the proposed booth configuration supports that process. Keep an advertised maximum temperature separate from the temperature profile needed for your particular coating system; use the coating supplier documentation when defining the process.
Request the heat exchanger and airflow information
Ask for a drawing that identifies the heater assembly, air-handling units, supply and exhaust paths, filters and service access. Obtain the heat exchanger specification for the selected configuration and clarify the inspection and maintenance documentation supplied with it.
Request airflow figures together with their stated operating conditions, then ask how the controls manage each intended mode. A fan rating or a heating-system label is not a complete description of the installed process. Treat unclear drawings or missing operating conditions as quotation questions, rather than filling the gaps with assumptions.
Separate electrical demand from fuel-use estimates
A diesel-heated booth still has electrical equipment to account for. Ask for the full electrical load schedule and required voltage, phase and frequency, including fans, controls and other supplied equipment. Compare those requirements with the available workshop supply before finalising the order.
For a fuel-use estimate, request the operating basis: temperature targets, ambient conditions, cycle duration and the quoted configuration. Ask the supplier to distinguish a burner rating from a measured or estimated consumption figure for a complete working cycle. This guide does not assign a universal fuel-consumption figure or operating-cost saving to diesel booths.
Make the quotation boundary visible
Have the offer list the booth, heating assembly, controls, duct sections, fuel-system components and installation services that are actually included. Where an item is excluded or to be supplied locally, identify who will specify and provide it. Resolve the interface between the equipment supplier and the site team before shipment planning.
Request the layout drawing with vehicle entry, service clearances, air-handling equipment and utility connection points. Include your site layout and relevant project requirements so the supplier can identify further information needed. A general buying checklist is not an installation design or a burner adjustment procedure.
Send a quotation brief that can be answered
Give each supplier the same brief so the responses can be compared. Include the vehicle size range, workshop layout, coating process, target cycle, available electricity and fuel, quantity and destination. Attach any existing booth or site drawings relevant to the project.
Ask BAOHUA to return a model-specific proposal, the included-equipment list, required site inputs, supporting drawings and a list of unresolved questions. Compare those deliverables before comparing headline claims. Keep prices, delivery terms and other commercial details in the actual quotation instead of assuming that they apply across all booth configurations.
Frequently asked questions
Does a Riello or Baltur brand name specify the entire heating system?
No. Ask for the exact burner model and configuration, heat exchanger information, air-system drawing, controls and site utility requirements for the quoted booth.
Does a diesel-heated spray booth need an electrical supply?
Yes. Request the electrical requirements of all supplied equipment, including fans and controls, and confirm voltage, phase, frequency and total load for the selected configuration.
Can I compare heat-up times from two quotations directly?
Only after checking the stated conditions. Ask for starting and target temperatures, ambient conditions, load, airflow setting, operating mode and measurement method.
Can the same fuel-consumption estimate be used for every diesel spray booth?
Do not assume so. Request the basis of the estimate for the quoted configuration and intended operating cycle, and distinguish burner ratings from complete-cycle consumption.
What should I send BAOHUA for a diesel spray booth quotation?
Send vehicle sizes, workshop layout, coating process, target cycle, available electricity and fuel, quantity and destination. Request the selected model details, drawings, included-equipment list and outstanding site requirements.
This guide supports early equipment planning. Final dimensions, specifications, installation instructions, supply scope, and applicable documents must be confirmed for the exact model and site before ordering.
