Installation requirements

Provide an appropriate level measuring area, access to the vehicle frame reference points and clearance for rolling compensation. Confirm wheel-clamp fit and load per turn plate. Provide the selected computer setup and 220-230 V, 50-60 Hz charger supply. Follow the supplied installation, calibration and operating instructions.

Product overview

The BAOHUA ML-TAR-3 is a heavy-duty wheel and axle alignment system using bidirectional infrared DSP-CCD measurement. It uses the vehicle frame centerline as the alignment reference to evaluate wheel alignment angles, axle-to-frame relationships and axle-to-axle positioning.

Two configurations at the same price

Choose the cabinet configuration for a dedicated workshop station, or the flight-case configuration for equipment storage and transport. Both configurations are offered at the same price. The cabinet can be arranged with a desktop computer or laptop; the flight-case setup is shown with a laptop. Confirm the computer, accessories and final supply list in the quotation.

Frame-centerline reference and rolling compensation

Four targets are positioned at the front and rear of the frame using the self-centering arrangement. Two measuring heads and the targets establish the measurement reference around the vehicle. The described rolling runout compensation procedure does not require lifting the vehicle.

Bidirectional DSP-CCD measurement

Two infrared DSP-CCD measuring heads provide bidirectional measurement with light-interference rejection. The brochure describes outdoor use; confirm the actual lighting and environmental conditions. Data transfer uses 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi. Each measuring head uses a 4 Ah lithium battery, with more than 5 hours of continuous operation per charge stated in the supplied data.

Measurement functions and accuracy

The system measures total toe, individual toe, camber, kingpin inclination, caster, axle squareness, axle parallelism and axle offset. The technical table distinguishes the total measuring range from the range over which the stated accuracy applies. Degrees and arcminutes are separate angular units; 1 degree equals 60 arcminutes.

Typical operating sequence

Position the vehicle in the measuring area and fit the clamps to the wheels being measured. Install the measuring heads on the rear-most axle clamps as directed by the setup instructions. Enter vehicle information, then perform wheel runout compensation. Review the displayed values and adjust applicable items according to the vehicle procedure. Remove the measuring heads and wheel clamps when the alignment process is complete.

Reference equipment package

The supplied component list includes 2 DSP-CCD measuring heads, 4 targets, 2 target centering tools, 4 extension rods, 4 wind-stabilizing clamps, 4 hanging fixtures, 4 magnetic mounts, 1 desktop computer or laptop, 8 truck wheel clamps, 4 heavy-duty turn plates, 1 steering-wheel holder and brake-pedal depressor set, and 1 printer. The wheel clamps are listed for 11-30 inch rims. Each turn plate is rated at 5000 kg; this is a per-plate load rating. Confirm all quantities and the selected configuration in the quotation.

Computer and charging setup

The brochure lists Windows 10, with legacy Windows 7/XP compatibility. Confirm the current supplied software and supported operating system. The measuring heads use a separate 220-230 V, 50-60 Hz charger. Final packing dimensions and shipping weight depend on the selected configuration and must be confirmed for ML-TAR-3.

MODEL SELECTION

How to choose this equipment

Selection guidance

Cabinet configuration
Choose a cabinet workstation for a dedicated service bay. Desktop or laptop supply is confirmed in the quotation. Same price as the flight-case configuration.
Flight-case configuration
Choose a wheeled flight-case package with a laptop setup for storage and transport. Same price as the cabinet configuration.
Fleet and axle-layout information
Send vehicle types, axle arrangements, rim sizes and the available frame-reference points. Confirm fit of the listed 11–30 inch truck clamps and reference-target fixtures on representative vehicles before selecting the package.
Measurement area and wheel loads
Provide a site drawing with vehicle length, working width, surface conditions and operator access. State wheel loads for turn-plate selection: the listed 5,000 kg rating applies to each plate, not to the complete vehicle or an included lifting system. Confirm the rolling-compensation route and lighting conditions.
Cabinet or flight case quotation
Choose a dedicated cabinet station or a flight-case package for storage and transport. State the required computer, printer, chargers and accessory quantities, then confirm current software support and packing information for that configuration. The equipment list must be agreed independently of the illustration.
